September was a busy, but fun month for us!  We celebrated our September Birthdays on the 23rd with the menu being picked out by the Tenants at the Villa.  Their request was:

Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Creamed Peas, Green Bean Casserole and Lemon Meringue Pie.  Assisted Living Week was also celebrated Sept 12th – 18th, with breakfast, banana splits, a grill out and one of my favorite things to make ... DONUTS!!!   We would like to thank our community members that were able to stop by during Assisted Living Week.

I also wanted to give a little update on some issues we are having with receiving some products needed to support the menus posted.  Due to lack of production, staffing and other issues around the country, our distributor is having issues keeping items needed in stock; we are seeing that with many of our suppliers.  With that being said, some items on our menus are being substituted/changed, as needed, while still ensuring that nutritional needs are being met.
