Hello Everyone, it’s been an interesting past few weeks hasn’t it?  We are all entrenched in this COVID-19 situation not knowing what tomorrow will bring for us.  This is certainly something that we are living in a developed country would never have dreamt could happen to us, but here it is.  My team and I are working very hard to keep our residents and tenants safe.  Many things have changed as you all know.  Residents and tenants are not allowed visitors at this time, and residents and staff are trying very hard to maintain as much of a six-foot separation as much as possible.  Our residents and tenants are dining in their rooms or in the dining areas with separation between them and the next table.  It’s all very challenging.  We are also screening our staff every time they enter the facility to make sure their health is not compromised before entering the facility.  We are taking daily directives from our management company, Healthcare of Iowa, as well as the CDC, Iowa Department of Public Health and Jackson County Emergency Response.  I want to remind all families that we can FaceTime you and your loved one here at the facility.  Just give us a call, and we will be happy to set that up for you all.  All you need on your end is an Apple phone or computer.  Let’s hope the month of May brings not only fresh flowers and sunshine, but a life of normalcy for all of us.  Take care and stay safe.
