From the Desk of the Administrator
Well, here we are another month down the road and few things have changed with the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to social distance and quarantine residents here at the facility until we receive further assurance and direction from the government that it is safe to open things up. We are still maintaining all precautions in the facility and we have been very fortunate to not have had a case of COVID-19. We pray that we will be able to stave off the virus, but if it were to occur, we will do our very best to isolate and minimize the outbreak.
This is been very hard on our residents and families. I never in my life would have dreamt that we would be forced to keep families apart in order to protect the health of the elderly. I don’t think anyone could have imagined that this could happen in the most advanced society on earth. This is a silent war that we are all fighting. I hope we win the war. Each day that passes without a case of COVID-19 in our building is a battle we have won.
Everyone please be safe. In time, we will have a new normal.
