Bea Hansen, Dula Tebbe, Lorraine Ruff, Betty Michels, Lois Kramer, and Meg Baugh (volunteers) for hosting and assisting “Crafts with Bea” at MVCC during the afternoon on Tuesday, where the residents/tenants made a “Christmas Display”.  Bea Hansen for providing all the craft ideas and supplies for the residents/tenants for this activity on Tuesday.

Gloria Petesch (volunteer) for hosting the “Villa Choir”, musical entertainment for/with the tenants at SVAL.  [The Villa Choir was reorganized and started again on December 4, 2019.  All attendees participated in Christmas Carols and were introduced to the new Bell Choir.  People were welcomed to join them each Wednesday evening at 5:15 pm.]  Gloria Petesch (volunteer) for hosting a Christmas themed “Sing-Along” for/with the residents/tenants in the main dining room at MVCC, serenading three or so tables at a time with Christmas Carols during the evening on Wednesday.

Gloria Petesch (volunteer) for hosting the “Villa Choir” and “Villa Bell Choir” musical entertainment for/with the tenants at the SVAL.  [All the attendees participated in the “Bell Choir” and the Sing-Along featuring “Favorite Children’s Christmas Songs”.  People were welcome to join them (“Easy Listening Dinner/Christmas Music with Gloria”) each Wednesday evening at 5:15 pm. in the main dining room at MVCC.]

The volunteers from the “Christian Circle” for meeting at the SVAL during the afternoon on Friday  (11/15/2019).

A travelogue entitled the “Pennsylvania Dutch” was presented and discussed with the residents and tenants during the afternoon on Monday.  The educational travelogue presented an introduction into the cultural/ancestral history of the region, and the attending residents/tenants were encouraged to participate and share their personal experiences during the presentation.

A “Where in the World” education project featuring “National Family Week & Ancestry” was celebrated/presented with discussions of the cultural/ancestral history of the regions of/with the attending residents/tenants during the afternoon on Friday.  The residents/tenants were encouraged to participate and share their personal experiences during the presentation.

Pastor Shannon Witt (First Presbyterian Church, Bellevue, Iowa) (volunteer), the Presbyterian Deacons (volunteers) and volunteers for hosting the Presbyterian Christmas Celebration for the residents/tenants at MVCC during the afternoon on Wednesday; with volunteers:  Max & Mary Reed, Margaret & Bob Baugh, Paula Reed, Doug & JoAnn Latham, Maurice & Laurie Anderson, Laura McCool, Shirley Peters, and the Presbyterian Youth Group:  Owen Smith, Seth Smith, and Jennifer Smith; and special guest Santa Claus for joining the residents and tenants.  Mary Reed (volunteer) for playing beautiful Christmas music on the piano; the Presbyterian Youth Group with the Presbyterian Choir for singing Christmas Carols and reading the accompanying Bible passages.  Santa and his Helpers for handing out Christmas “goodies” to the residents and tenants for all to enjoy.

Boxes of homemade cookies were given/presented to Karen Osar (Senior Center Director, Bellevue Senior Community Center) as an act of “Gift Giving” to the Bellevue Community.
