Nursing News

Director of Nursing

Upper respiratory viruses have been plaguing the facility and the surrounding communities for the past several months.  Thankfully all our residents have recovered quickly.  Unfortunately, we are only halfway through our cold and flu season.  The CDC is reporting 6-7 million cases of the flu in the United States alone, and these numbers will continue to rise as the cold and flu season progresses.  For our resident’s safety, we ask that you cancel or postpone your visits if you have any cold or flu symptoms.  Common symptoms are:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue (tiredness)

To better protect our residents, we may also cancel or postpone activities.  Thank you for your patience and understanding during that time.  Our focus is always keeping our residents healthy and safe.  Please give us a call if you have any questions or concerns.
