Hello August … you came upon us quickly.

We are currently still on our spring menu, continuing to cycle through until September when we will switch over to our Fall/Winter menu.  I am a month in and met with our tenants at the Villa and a few residents here at Mill Valley about some of their current favorite dishes and inquired about some menu items they would like to incorporate when it comes time to developing the fall/winter menu.  I appreciate all their feedback.

Did someone say HAPPY HOUR ???

We do Happy Hour on Monday and Friday afternoons which allows my creative juices to flow.  One of the favorites have been the smoothies, we have had strawberry and mixed berry so far in which the residents and tenants have enjoyed with it being so warm outside.  I have shared the recipe below and hope you get a chance to enjoy one with your family soon.

Mixed Berry Smoothie

INGREDIENTS          (for two servings)

  • 1 cup blueberry
  • 1 cup strawberry, sliced
  • ½ cup blackberry
  • ½ cup raspberry
  • 1 ½ cups milk, of choice
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

  1. Put fruit in a freezer bag.  Seal and store in freezer for up to 8-12 months.
  2. When ready to use, put milk, Greek yogurt, and frozen fruit into a blender and mix until consistency is smooth.
  3. Enjoy!
