Ray & Doris Theisen for hosting the game of “Euchre” [as volunteers at the Mill Valley Care Center (MVCC)] during the morning on four Fridays, and “Music with Ray & Doris” for/with the tenants [at the Sunrise Villa Assisted Living (SVAL)] and residents (at the MVCC) during the noontime on four Fridays and the evening-time on four Sundays and four Tuesdays.

Dale Meier (volunteer) for hosting the game of “Dominoes” and providing “snacks” during the afternoon on Friday. Dale Meier (volunteer) for the Chocolate Cookies.

Vincent S., Marlyce Tebbe, and Darlene Michel (tenants, volunteers) for assisting during the game of “Dominoes” on four Fridays. The Dietary Department staff for hosting “Treats with Dietary”, serving “soft serve” ice cream desserts after the games.

Bea Hansen (volunteer) for hosting “Crafts with Bea” for the tenants (at the SVAL) and residents (at the MVCC), making adult coloring “Back to School Display” during the afternoon on Friday.

The Mennonite Choir for hosting “Music with the Mennonite Choir”, providing musical entertainment for/with the residents (at the MVCC) and tenants (at the SVAL) during the evening-time on Sunday.

Marlyce Tebbe (tenant, volunteer) for leading the Rosary prayers for the Catholic tenants during the past four weeks.

Jr. Steines (volunteer) for hosting “Euchre Games” at the MVCC during the afternoon on four Mondays.

The Dietary Department staff for their assistance with Activities, hosting “Beverage of the Week with Dietary” held for the tenants (at the SVAL) and the residents (at the MVCC) during the afternoon on three Mondays.

Chef Kevin Hebert (Executive Chef, Healthcare of Iowa) for visiting MVCC/SVAL and hosting a live cooking demonstration (activity) in front of an involved audience of residents, tenants, family members, staff, volunteers, and visitors during the midmorning at the SVAL and during the afternoon at the MVCC on Tuesday.

Cheyanne Merrick’s Class from St. Joseph’s Catholic (Pre-School to 3^rd Grade Daycare) students (Bellevue, Iowa) with Alyssia Yaddof and Claire Dunne (student volunteers) for decorating and designing a Craft item to be given to the residents (at the MVCC) and the tenants (at the SVAL) during the afternoon on Tuesday. (The students sang songs up and down the hallways at the SVAL and the MVCC for the residents and tenants. The students also filled up the outside birdfeeders at the MVCC and SVAL.) Lenae Sieverding (Administrator) for providing the students with snacks and drinks. The Dietary Department staff for their assistance.

Our deepest sympathy to the Family and Friends of Kenneth Kilburg who passed away recently. (He was an avid volunteer for many years, hosting “Men’s Group”, sharing woodworking projects, and telling jokes to help uplift the residents/tenants. He will be missed.)
